Game Overview

Tripe is a popular Filipino card game traditionally played with 3 players using a standard 52-card deck. The objective is to form card combinations and be the first player to empty your hand by playing valid sets and runs.

Basic Rules

• Number of Players: 3 players per table
• Card Deck: Standard 52-card deck
• Deal: Each player receives 16 cards (3 rounds of 5-5-6)
• Objective: Be the first to play all your cards
• Combinations: Sets (3-4 of a kind) and Runs (3+ consecutive same suit)

Gameplay Steps

1. Draw: Draw one card from the deck at the start of your turn.

2. Arrange: Organize your hand into valid combinations of sets and runs.

3. Play: Play valid combinations on the table when it's your turn.

4. Discard: If you cannot play, discard one card face-up to the discard pile.

5. Win: First player to play all their cards wins the round.

Card Counting

Keep track of which cards have been played. This helps you anticipate what combinations other players might hold and when to play your hand.

Prioritize Pure Runs

Pure runs (consecutive cards of the same suit without gaps) are valuable. Build them early and protect them until you can play safely.

Watch Opponents

Pay attention to how many cards each opponent has. When someone is low on cards, be more cautious about playing your best combinations.

Discard Strategically

When discarding, choose cards that are less likely to help opponents form combinations. Avoid discarding high-value cards early in the game.
